The clutch pedal assemblies in 1989–1991 Honda Civic, CRX, hatchback, and sedan models are known to fail over time. The clutch pedal rod commonly breaks free from the factory weld at the brake pedal joint — a well-documented issue in the EF Civic and CRX community.
Many owners weld reinforcement plates after failure or as preventative maintenance. This clutch pedal brace is designed to achieve the same goal — without welding.
