Honda Brake Booster Delete Plate

Need more room in your Honda engine bay?

The factory brake booster takes up a surprising amount of space, especially when fitting large intake manifolds, turbo systems, superchargers, K-series swaps, or other custom engine/transmission combinations.

Our Brake Booster Delete Plate was designed to remove the bulky factory brake booster while allowing you to retain your OEM dual-circuit master cylinder and factory brake lines.

That means no single-outlet race master cylinder, no custom brake line conversion, and no unnecessary redesign of a brake system that already works.

Why We Made It

We originally developed this setup for Honda Challenge racing, where consistent brake feel and modulation mattered, but the rules still required a dual-circuit braking system.

By keeping the OEM master cylinder, the vehicle retains the factory-style dual-outlet master cylinder layout while eliminating the booster for additional clearance and a more direct manual brake feel.

How It Works

Simply unbolt the master cylinder from the original brake booster, remove the booster, install our booster delete plate, and bolt the OEM master cylinder directly to the plate.

If your original setup used vacuum assist from the engine, that vacuum source will need to be capped or properly addressed during installation. Vacuum caps or plugs are not included because engine configurations vary.

Important Brake Feel Notice

Removing the brake booster creates a manual brake setup.

Manual brakes require more pedal effort than a vacuum-assisted brake system. This is expected. The brake pedal will feel firmer and harder than the factory boosted setup.

This product is intended for experienced builders, racers, and enthusiasts who understand the tradeoff between added engine bay clearance, direct brake feedback, and increased pedal effort.

Common Reasons To Delete The Booster

  • More engine bay clearance
  • K-series swap clearance
  • Turbo system clearance
  • Large intake manifold clearance
  • Supercharger clearance
  • Race car packaging
  • More direct manual brake pedal feel
  • Consistent brake modulation for motorsport use
  • Retain OEM dual-circuit master cylinder
  • Retain factory brake line layout
